Yours Only Bridal in Astoria is horrible. Whoever says that they had a wonderful experience must either be friends or related to the scam owners! Or, you had to be able to speak and understand spanish because they always laughed at me in spanish because they knew i was greek and didn't understand. I got married in November and they lied to me about where my dress was coming from, who the designer was and I got the dress a few weeks before the wedding even though I ordered it in February. They are horrible people. They have already moved twice on Steinway. I didn't do alterations there even though they claimed they took it in and shortened it for me. Everytime i told them it was still big and long they insisted it was done! i took it somewhere else and got it fixed. As a bride you want this to be the best experience of your life. However, I spent those 10 months crying in there store with jose yelling at me constantly that he was right and i was always wrong. Please ladies do not go there. If anyone wants to contact me to expose them I am willing! email me at thepapaz@verizon.net

Yours Only Bridal in Astoria isnow gone. They have moved to 40-13 Broadway. It has been a nightmare fron the beginning . They took my $500 dollar money order and cashed it the same day. After the run around I said i wanted my money back. They told me to come 4 days later. I did. They gave me a business check. The check bounced. When i went to the store, it was gone. I just discovered where they are today and went there. Eddie was very disrespectful and rude. They said to come tomorrow I doubt i will get my money back. Don't go there!

A happy Bridal H.
Yours Only Bridal in Astoria is a very good place to make business with. Jose is a very dedicate person. He did my wedding decoration and he was there until the last minute to arrenge the decoration. Everything looks very elegant, and the decoration was perfect.

I just want to share with you my unpleasant experience when I was getting my money back last weekend. This store is a complete failure; I never got my dress at all. Considering that they are aware that I needed it for Monday, August 10th, they had the nerve to tell me that it will not be delivered until Wednesday, August 12th. My sister and I arrived at the store and quickly greeted by Maria. I told her that I would like to get my money back since I do not have my dress. She asked me if my name is GEORGIA (I guess she’s another unhappy costumer). When I told her my name, Eddie, who was sitting in the waiting area, quickly came up to us and tried to explain the situation. Since I was not willing and uninterested to hear what he had to say, I told him that I would like to get my money back. He left and had us wait for couple of minutes. When he returned, he handed me a check. He emphasized that it was a good check. We left and decided to cash the check at TD Bank (which is their bank). Unfortunately, the teller did not honor the check and told me that the account owner will have to call to give them authorization. He also recommended NOT depositing the check. We returned to the store to speak to Eddie. We told him that the bank refused to cash the check because they did NOT have funds on their account. He insisted that it is a good check and that we should deposit it tomorrow. He also explained that since they just opened their business about 9 days ago, their credit card machine is not linked to their bank yet. He asked if we could come back in 30 minutes to 1 hour since they did not have enough cash. We told him “NO” and that we have to pick up a dress somewhere else. He even said to wait (a day or so) before I deposit the check. So my sister asked him why he gave me a check if he knows that there’s no money on the account. At that point, he pulled out my folder with the original invoice and said that I am not supposed to get a refund because they have cancellation policy. He said that he’s actually not charging me for $40 for rush fees and other charges that they have to pay. He even asked Maria how long it takes for Alfred Angelo to ship an order. Maria said about 8-12 weeks. So my sister asked him that since my dress was placed back in May, why took my order if they knew that my dress will not make it on time. Even my brother-in-law (who was waiting in the car across the street) got involved. He repeatedly told Eddie that since I don’t have the dress that I should get my money back. When my sister was going to call the police, Maria told us to stop and went to the register to get cash. Again, Eddie failed by telling me in the beginning that they didn’t have enough money. It would have been a lot easier if that’s what he did to begin with. For the record, I probably don’t know about their cancellation policy, but I didn’t cancel anything. They broke the contract by not delivering my dress on the delivery date, 07/17/09, which was clearly stated on the invoice. I even gave them 2 more weeks to get my dress. Their store may be nice, but that is just to cover-up on what is really happening inside. The store owners don’t know the definition of business ethics. They don’t know how to commit to their customers. They are very unprofessional and inconsiderate. All these were proven to me. It was my first time to do business with them, but sure it will be the last.

So, they keep changing their names so dissatisfied customers like us can’t post anything bad anymore, huh? Can’t even put their new address correctly. Did they do that in purpose? The new store’s address should be 40-13 Broadway. Although if you go there you will be confused because there are two 40-13 on that same street. To all who posted here, please let me know how I can reach you so we can all expose this store. Maybe that’s what they really need – an exposure! Here is what Eddie said (and I guess to all of us):: It's funny how people think, to quickly judge people or business of any sort. Without having proper information! We are indeed going through some changes and trying to adjust with the economy. And we are working hard to accomodate our disappointed customers in every way. We garrentee the dress will be at the business, but for some of the few orders, its been setback. We ask for a little patience and understand, in which in the same note. We are indeed aware of your order. Thank You. So, we are indeed the bad people here for not getting the proper information and judged them so quickly. But how can we get the right information if they are so sneaky and not giving us the correct information? Maybe they shouldn’t do business after all.

So you people think you are clever by changing your name here. This is Yours Only Bridal in Astoria with a new name of Only Your Dreams and moved to Broadway from Steinway street have been scamming their customers for way too long. Did you think that your customers are as intellectually unchallenged as you are? And you flagged all the people on here, why? Are you afraid to lose business after all this bad publicity? Your business practice is despicable, unethical and amateurish. I hated every second that I had to do business with you and everyone else seems to share my thoughts. You have been ruining people's special day and that is unacceptable. You disgust me.

I went there last Friday and spoke with the owner (not sure of his name). After showing him the invoice which was already paid last May, he went to the basement to see if my dress has arrived. He came back to me and said that it was just delivered last July 21 and it takes 5 days to get to the store. It was July 31 when i went to their store which means it's been 10 days that my dress has been delivered. I had a feeling that it went back to the manufacturer many times. Then he asked me if Maria called me about the move. I told him that no one told me and that i just read about their move online. He started explaining why they moved but his explanation was far from the truth. He asked me to email him about the dress which i did today. He said that it should come this Wednesday but I doubt it. If it comes, I will just take it and leave. I am not even thinking of having it altered in their store. The wedding that i have to go to is for next Monday. Here is his email address Onlyyourdreamz@gmail.com. His emails go straight to his iPhone.

I am so sorry to hear this Ana Z. Maria is one of the most annoying sales people. She hates the owners and said that they are stupid. She keeps on constantly saying that she was made too fast and everyone around her is too slow and dumb. When I asked her what was the problem with getting my dress on time, she first asked me if I was Spanish. When I told her that I was not, she said that the owners are "Spanish" and that Spanish people cry too much and then the owners feel sorry for them and give them better prices. I could not believe that she would say something like that. Is that even acceptable to say to a customer. Then she went on saying that because of all of these discounts they could not afford the $7000 rent on Steinway and were evicted. It took me 6 weeks of chasing my bridesmaid dress (which was returned to shipper several times because they could not pay COD charges) to finally get the dress in store, b/c I told them that i am not leaving the store until the dress is with me on the day that i knew they were delivering the dress. When I tried the dress on and had alterations done on it, they messed it up. One side of the dress was still loose while the other was tight. I asked to have it fixed. After they "fixed" it I tried it on again and it was still wrong and i asked to have it fixed again after which i wanted to try it on to make sure it fits well, Maria looks at me and tells me, whats the matter honey, you have to keep on trying it. so i told her that yes i do until i am happy with the dress. so she made a face showing displeasure of me being in the store all that time. Eddie and Jose are 2 con artists who have absolutely no interest in this business and hired Maria who is a lonely lady and a young girl who is probably the most pleasant of them all. I just hate the fact that I ever made this deal with them. They have ruined 6 weeks of my life. I hope no one will have to go through what all of us on this site have mentioned.

• DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE - My wedding was just this weekend and I can't even begin to tell you what a HORRIBLE experience I had with them. • THEY LOST MY VEIL!!!! I bought my dress and whole wedding attire from them, since I bought it almost a year before my actual wedding date, when I went to do my first fitting, my mother and I realized that they had replaced my veil with some other veil. When I questioned them about the whereabouts of my veil, Jose, the owner, claimed that that was the one that was with my dress and that perhaps Maria misplaced it. He promised me that he would find it and if not, he would make me another veil. The fact of the matter is that he probably never found my veil 'cause the next time I came back he had a new one for me. • BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES DID NOT FIT Properly - Now mind you, my bridesmaids dresses where supposed to be ready at least 2 weeks before my wedding, then they called and said that the dresses would be ready on Wednesday, 3 days before my wedding. Even then, we were not even sure if we were going to see the dresses since there was no possible way to get in touch with them. I finally had to send one of my bridesmaids who lives closest to the store to see what was going on with it all. My bridesmaid gets there and tells me that the alterations on her dress were done, but it was so tight that the zipper popped, that was the experience shared by three of my 5 bridesmaids where the dresses were either still too loose or too tight to barely walk. • FAVORS LOOKED LIKE GARBAGE – We had ordered the favors thru them and had asked and paid for them to be wrapped, since I couldn’t get a hold of Jose or anyone at the store I had asked one of my bridesmaid to go to the store and see what had happened to the favors. She calls me and tells me that they did have the favors but none were wrapped, and that Jose claimed that they looked better un-wrapped, this is after I had already paid him to wrap them. I asked my bridesmaid to tell Jose to wrap them as it was agreed upon, using Ivory paper and Gold cloth ribbon. Two days before the wedding, the wedding coordinator we hire because we couldn’t deal with the store or Jose and all the inconsistencies goes to the store to pick up what was supposed to be my elegantly wrapped favors and comes back with 2 bags full of favors that looked like my 6 year old niece wrapped them. The paper was wrinkle as it appears when you wet it, some of the favors where dented, and they were all tied with balloon string ribbon, a far cry from the favors he had once shown my fiancé and I. Needless to say we had to pay to have them re-wrapped by someone else. • BOUQUETS & BOUTONEERS (WRONG FLOWERS AND COLOR) – 2 Days before my wedding and we still did not know where Jose would deliver the bouquets. The wedding coordinator tries to track him down, my fiancé tries to track him down and eventually gets to talk to him and tells him that the BRIDE’s bouquet and her mother’s corsage are supposed to go to the bride’s mother’s house, the rest to the venue. DAY of the WEDDING all the flowers are being dropped off at the BRIDE’s Mother’s house. I then have to get my stepfather to send the rest of the bridal party flowers back downstairs to JOSE and his crew. I check to looked at my bouquet, which was supposed to be a combination of ivory and pink peonies, hydrangeas and other flowers and what I have is an ivory bouquet with one Peonies in the center. My mom’s corsage, which was supposed to be made of orchids, was a boutoneer in roses so were the rest of the groomsmen boutoneers and to top it all of he made the ring bearers boutoneers in Pink not ivory like the rest. • THE FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS (More Twigs than Flowers) - The beautiful tall flower arrangements for the tables which should have contained orchids, branches tea lights and crystals, that we were shown when we booked JOSE for the flowers, again had nothing to do with the arrangements he propped at the venue. There were no crystals and barely any orchids most of it was simply tall branches. • THE SILVER PLATED CAKE STAND – Never made it to the venue. • THE SILVER PLATED GIFT BOX – JOSE replaced it by a cardboard box wrapped up in gift wrapping paper, which was apparently so hideous that even the venue felt compelled to remove and loan me one for the wedding. IF THIS HAS NOT DETERED YOU from doing business with this store, I don’t know what will. Much of what is beautiful about YOUR wedding is planning that special day when you finally get to say “I DO” to marrying that special person and seeing your dream wedding come to life. Not agonizing for weeks and days on end, on what other sordid and ridiculous excuses you will hear from the people whom you have hired to execute one of the most important days of your life. To my guests my wedding went on beautifully and flawlessly, to me who spent a year of my life planning this day and a whole lifetime dreaming of it, it was truly disheartening to have gone thru so much emotionally, have spent so much time, energy and money to realize that there are scumbags like Jose who claim to do this for a living just to rip you off without any regrets. To all this, the only thing Jose had to say to my fiancée (not me ‘cause I couldn’t stand looking at him) was “Sorry for the misunderstanding”.

Despite all those comments below, I got to say that Yours and Yours Only Bridal is one of the most marvelous places where I've been. I had my wedding done by this bridal and absolutely nothing went wrong! I'd recommend it! I feel sorry for those of you who are having trouble but my experience was great!

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. But unfortunately i have already order 4 dresses out of this store. It has been the worst expierence of my life. i walked to store today and found out that the store has been closed. I was devasted until i found this site and when i got the address to the new store i drove right over there and gave Maria Eddie and Joseph a piece of my mind and they promises to have my dress in this week. When i walked into the new store they were schocked to see me as if i was never going to find out where they relocated to. I told Eddie that he is going to see me everyday until i get my dress and that they better get it this week. But i'm going to tell anyone who will listen not to go to this store for anything. These people are truly scam artist and i can not even imagine why Alfredo Angelo would have anything to do with them.

Mine was also an Alfred Angelo dress. I need it for Sept's wedding in Seattle, WA. I gave the store August 10 wedding so I have more time. I paid for it last May but when I called them last June they just placed the order. They told me the gown should be ready by July 20th. I just called my bank and disputed the charges so I could get my money back. Now I have to go another store in Manhattan and pay for rush delivery. If I will not get my money back, I will definitely contact 7 On Your Side or Help Me Howard. Or if anyone already contacted them, let me know..

Yours Only Bridal in Astoria is a scam. My bridal gown is completely paid for and my wedding is next month. One of my bridesmais unfortunaltey also bought her gown there, and we have been getting the runaround tha it is backordered, but all my other bridesmaids have theirs that ordered at another boutique. She ordered it in May, and was told that it would be in by July 15th. I happended to call on Friday, and they gave me 4013 Broadway....still not open though and no phone. They told me not to worry and that I can go for my fitting this coming Saturday, but I don't trust them at all. I would have only known about their move because I happened to call there. I contacted Alfred Angelo and they could not help me stating that I was not the customer, the boutique was. Alfred Angelo did say however that nothing is on backorder. We should all show up this coming Saturday morning.

I just spoke with them last week. I paid for my bridesmaid gown last May to pick up this July. I called last week and they said they will call the company but never returned my call. I called them yesterday and today but no answer. If I didn't search for this, I would've known that they moved. I am contacting "7 On Your Side" and will make a complain.

There was a Marshall notice on their old store front stating that all of the items inside the store are now the landlord's possession. I hope that they did not scam all of us. I bet they did not pay rent / filed bankruptsy. otherwise they would have called each and every client with orders to inform them. does anyone have any idea on how to deal with this stuff?

I drove by today. The paper is still up, but the lights are on. You should go by and bang on the door. Everyone on here should call that "7 On Your Side" and see if we can get them to help. This isn't the first time they have moved to and left people in the wind.

What a loss W.
They never informed anyone of their move and if clients had appointments than they should have called the clients and let them know even as a reminder of what was going on. And why would they change the name of the store and the number who does that! When you move a business you let people know what is going on no matter how you have to do it!

they moved to 40-13 broadway in astoria

John D.
They have moved to 40-13 Broadway (corner of Steinway) in Astoria. They do not have a phone yet and the front of the store is covered by brown paper. The store isn't open yet, but they are definitely there. It is now called ONLY YOUR DREAMS. Please go by and make it known to them that you know where they are.

What a loss W.
Yours Only Bridal in Astoria is horrible. I agree we had appointments for 7/27/09 and we got there and the store was closed down! Now what! I paid for my dress and my mother had 2 dresses that she had ordered and put money down on. If anyone can give me info on how to get in touch with the owner please post on this site!

I completely agree with everyone here. Yours Only Bridal in Astoria is the worst place to be in. Their workers are a bunch of liars. They have been giving me a run around for the past 2 months. They have a very young girl working there, who seems very nice and accommodating but she has no clue on how to answer a question. They have been telling me that the dress is on the truck for several weeks. Now they have a new excuse is that they are moving and when UPS comes there, they are in another store. I dont trust them and please dont go. If you want to have a pleasant wedding experience, they should NOT be part of it. I am totally freaking out and they are diminishing the fact that they have screwed up. It really difficult when you speak with morons who dont realize it.

Don't Not ever ever go there. I ordered my dress in Feb they said it would be ready in June. I called at the end of June and they gave me the run around saying it would be there the next day and UPS has it. My dress should have been ready before July 16 which was the day the wedding was written on my order form I went there they said it will be there tomorrow. If you order from them you may never see your dress.

I agree 100% with the review by Vicki D. We had the worst experience ever at this shop. Joseph lied to us many many times. The story was always changing and they always needed more money. After 6 months of the run around we asked for our money back. We were still 6 months out from the wedding and they had done nothing for us. We managed to get 1200.00 back from them but they kept 800.00. Don't make the same mistake we did. The shop is very pretty and they have nice things. They seem very nice at first. We saw other customers upset with them also. Please do not go to this place. Joseph and Eddie are not honest people. Shawn E. Mother of the Bride

This is the worst place to get a dress. They will scheme, lie and treat you horribly. I bought my dress unfortunately from there and it was a nightmare. They never ordered it on time. They lied and told me it came in and tried to sell me the sample that they altered and it couldn't fit me. When I went for fittings I would tell them that the dress was too big and too long and they claimed they would alter it. When I went back they hadn't done anything for it. The owner was a jerk! He yells at his employees and customers. I cried on several occassions in there. Please girls do not go there to buy your dress. It may look like a nice store, but it will be the worst experience. Trust me! I so regret going there!
