Though the bar's backdrop of glowing liquor bottles and exposed-brick walls is reminiscent of nearby see-and-be-seen spots, the relaxed, friendly pub vibe sets it apart. It's all wood, from floors to tables to ceiling beams. Grab a spot in the more intimate front room; the high-ceilinged back room feels a bit impersonal. The mixed after-work crowd morphs into a late-night male-dominated one. Brass Monkey could have just relaxed and served great draft beer--the 20 choices include Boddington's, Hoegaarden, Chimay and Magic Hat--but it also created a tasty grub menu.
